Atlanta High Rise Fire Kills Five, Injures Dozens

Caused by an arc flash, a killer fire roared through the 6th floor of the 25th Peachtree Building in Atlanta, killing five people, including the electrician who was replacing a fuse that triggered the arc flash explosion.

Heroic efforts of Atlanta firefighters saved trapped survivors, carrying them down aerial ladders and through the burning building. Six firefighters and 23 others were injured in the tragic high rise fire.
